Position Overview:
The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for developing, coding, and testing queries and reports based on user specified criteria against various databases. The Business Intelligence Analyst will create and perform queries and reports on both an ad hoc basis and according to predetermined schedules for various client applications such as Cognos or Business Objects and design accurate and appropriate reports that are sustainable to the client organization. The Business Analyst will partner with the business users to implement business/functional design and to ensure quality report developments that meet business/functional requirements. Working with the client team and the TJG team the Business Analyst will ensure the report design meshes with the company's business intelligence capacity and needs.

Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years financial systems experience is required, preferably in a professional services environment.
- Bachelor's degree in business, information technology, finance/accounting or related field.
- Experience with Cognos and SQL software packages, Business Objects, Oracle Discoverer, BRIO, Hyperion, Crystal Reports, Excel, and Access is preferred. Must be knowledgeable about relational database concepts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong questioning and listening skills.
- Proven presentation skills, strong leadership skills, along with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with clients and other team members.
- Strong data analysis skills and creativity in identifying new opportunities and evaluating alternatives.
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Must have the ability to work in both a collaborative (team) environment as well as perform independent work as required.
- Previous business requirements gathering and experience at estimating projects is strongly preferred.
- Ability to document detailed and specific information is highly preferred.
- Willingness to travel approximately 25%.

- Apply comprehensive business knowledge and thorough understanding of database structure and business intelligence tool capabilities to filter and guide business user's requests.
- Work collaboratively with TJG team members and client teams to ensure new report design meshes with the company's business intelligence capacity and needs of the organization.
- Ability to determine whether requested data resides in the databases and recommends additions of data or new categorical variables to meet user needs.
- Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers, and uses first-hand customer information for improvements in products and services.
- Proven problem solver who uses rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions and who looks beyond the obvious for answers.
