Position Overview:
The Managing Consultant is responsible for providing the day to day management of projects as well as hands-on functional/technical experience to financial and operational clients. The primary responsibilities of the Managing Consultant will include contributing and managing consulting projects for clients within the company's practice areas. In doing so, the Managing Consultant will be involved in developing project plans, conducting interviews and other data gathering exercises, analyzing and documenting the results, generating alternative solutions, and presenting formal recommendations to the client. The Managing Consultant will also be responsible for managing client relationships, working closely with team members, providing regular status reports to clients and company management, and helping to develop proposals for new business.
Managing Consultants have a target of 70% utilization, with the remainder of their time networking and selling to existing clients.

Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years experience in finance, accounting, or management/business consulting
- Minimum of 2 years Management Consulting experience in 2 of the following: Process Improvement/System Implementation, Compliance/Risk/SOX/Internal Audit, External Reporting/SEC Advisory or IT Audit
- Experience with Big 4 preferred
- Experience working in a team environment
- Excellent analytical skills used to translate information from meetings into documentation
- Solid written and verbal communication skills and the interpersonal skills needed to quickly establish relationships of trust and collaboration
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, MS Access and Visio preferred
- Ability to establish credibility in the eyes of senior-level, financially literate executives on the basis of expertise, maturity, and professionalism
- Proven client/engagement management experience; ability to recognize new selling opportunities with current clients and close on those opportunities
- Excellent time-management and prioritization skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience facilitating group meetings and interview sessions
- Positive and professional attitude
- MBA or CPA required.
- PMO certification is a plus
- Willingness to travel approximately 25%.
